Full detailed method
  1. 1Cream butter, icing sugar and vanilla until pale.
  2. 2Sift in flour and salt and bring together into a soft dough. Chill 20 mins.
  3. 3Roll to ½ cm thick between two sheets of parchment. Cut flowers with a cutter.
  4. 4Bake at 170°C for 10–12 mins until the edges are just golden. Cool completely.
  5. 5Whisk icing sugar with milk and colour to a thick drop. Dot into the centre of each flower and add a tiny sprinkle.
